Scholar Ship

2 Great Orphans group is composed of 2 students who studied in Cebu Institute of Technology: Nathan Alexander M. Baya and Hannie Mae C. Alajid. We decided to ride a boat going to Manila because it's not only riding a scholar ship, but also making us feel like orphans. There is a ship whose passengers are orphans. It travels around the world. Most of the orphans are Swedish. There is also another ship whose passengers are scholars. It's called The Scholar Ship. It is owned by Royal Caribbean International, a Norwegian-American shipping company that was founded in Norway and based in the United States.

Scholarship is our only hope of joining the national competition of Imagine Cup. As a group, we are helpless like orphans. No one supports us for our dream of joining the competition. We have to raise funds by ourselves in order to join.

Orphan Age

We call ourselves 'orphans' for 4 reasons:

1.) Our names have the hidden message 'orphan'. By subtracting the last 3 letters in the name Hannie and adding 3 new letters to it, the word orphan is formed. By replacing the 1st 3 letters in the name Nathan, the same word is also formed.

2.) All of our companions at home are orphans. We're like living in an orphanage.

3.) Our voices are childish like Hansel and Gretel.

4.) Annie is a hidden name in Hannie. Oliver was portrayed by American actor Nathan Gamble.

That's why, "2 Great Orphans" is the name of our group.

Group Description

2 Great Orphans is a duo of Computer Engineering students who studied in Cebu Institute of Technology: Nathan Alexander M. Baya and Hannie Mae C. Alajid. Our group was named from the ship that we will ride coming from Cebu going to Manila. In reference to our innovative Cross traffic system that we will submit for Imagine Cup, 2GO means "2 times the GO time."

Nathan and Hannie have something common. The group is called "Great Han" because our names have the word 'Han'. By adding 3 letters to it, the word 'orphan' is formed. So the group has a new name: Great Orphan. Since we are 2 in the group, our official name would be "2 Great Orphans."

By the time we would join the national competition of Imagine Cup, we would be 20 years old. This age is the 1st year of adulthood. RP stands for the "Republic of the Philippines." Our group name has 2 hidden names: Hans and Gret. By adding the suffix -el to these names, a story of 2 orphans would be formed: Hansel and Gretel. They were abandoned by their parents in the forest.
